Associate Registrar, Student Records Systems
I've been at Loyola Marymount University for over 20 years, currently serving as Associate Registrar for Student Records Systems. A key component of my duties includes supporting Banner; not just for my office, but for the entire Enrollment Management division. I've been the Chair of our Banner User Group since its inception over 17 years ago and also serve on the Enrollment Management Technology Team and Enterprise Technology Committee. Additionally, I'm one of the Web Tailor Administrators on campus and I've created several custom SSB pages. I’m also our Degree Works coordinator and work with departments across our campus to maintain the accuracy of our degree audits.
Prior to Loyola Marymount University, I worked as a programmer/analyst at a small software company and I have a Computer Science degree from the University of Southern California. My technical background is a great asset in being able to communicate with various campus populations about Banner (and other IT) issues.
I've attended and presented at CoHEsion (and before that, SETA) conferences for many years, serving as Student Track chair several times and Program Chair for the 2009 Portland conference. I’m currently serving on the CoHEsion Board of Directors where I currently hold the position of President. In past years I’ve been the Vendor Liaison and Chair of the Awards committee. I hope that I can continue to serve our great organization as we strive to bring the Banner community together.
Managing Director, Finance Systems Management
Carole has been employed by Texas Tech University / Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center for 31 years in both Accounting Services and Finance Systems Management. Her current role as Managing Director of Finance Systems Management includes oversight of property management, effort reporting system administration, chart maintenance, financial systems training, system assurance and data integrity, and testing and implementation of Banner upgrades and other systems that interface with Banner Finance. She also serves on the committee charged with ensuring the effective use of the institution’s resources to meet strategic goals and to assess effective use of Banner and new functionalities resulting from upgrades.
Carole has attended SunGard Summit/Ellucian Live conferences for the past 13 years as a participant, a presenter and served as the Financial Management Program Track Committee Chair for Ellucian Live. She currently serves as Finance Product Coordinator for the Texas Connection Consortium and is a member of the Community Source Initiative (CSI) for Finance. She has participated in SETA/CoHEsion Summit conferences since 2008 and has served as Finance Track Chair, Vice Program Chair, Program Chair and Conference Chair. Carole was honored as the 2012 recipient of the Gunnell Nelson Award for Service.
Carole has served on the CoHEsion board of directors since 2014, currently serving as Vice President and CoHEsion Summit St. Louis conference chair, and would love to continue her service to CoHEsion by serving on the Board of Directors.
The Election Committee, consisting of CoHEsion members, review submitted nominations and recommend a slate of candidates for approval to the CoHEsion Board of Directors. The Board receives and approves the slate of candidates each year. The approved candidates are voted on (as an entire slate) at the annual CoHEsion Summit Conference.
